BOSTWANA
Botswana is one of the last remaining havens for wild game. Politically stable and sparsely populated, Botswana is about the same size as Texas. Having dedicated vast tracts of land to National Parks and Preserves, Botswana is a hunter's paradise. All safaris start and finish in Maun, Botswana. There are good connecting flights through Johannesburg.

Your hunt will take place in concessions in or close to the Okavango Delta. Unique with it's myriad of crystal clear waters disappearing into the vast sands of the Kalahari Desert. Big game found in the Okavango includes greater kudu, tsessebe, reedbuck, buffalo, red lechwe, zebra, sable, lion, leopard and elephant. The interaction of dry land and wetland habitats contributes to the astonishing variety of game animals found in this region. Arrangements can be made to hunt in the Kalahari Desert for gemsbok, springbok, red hartebeest and other species.

Elephant
Botswana has one of the most prolific populations of elephant in Africa today. There are over 100,000 elephant in the Okavango Delta alone.

Cites issue Botswana with a generous quota to cover hunting of elephant, therefore, taking this into account, each hunting area in the Okavango Delta has a specific safari hunting quota. The result is a well-managed elephant herd with regulated, sustainable off-take. Trophy quality and expectation is therefore high.
