ROBIN HURT
Eldest son of the late Lt. Roger Hurt D.S.O., Kenya Game Warden, Robin grew up on the Hurt family ranch on the shores of Lake Naivasha in Kenya. By the age of 18 Robin was a fully licensed Professional Hunter.

Robin has hunted professionally in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan, Central African Republic, Congo, Botswana, Zambia, Ethiopia and Southern Africa. His clients from these safaris have hunted many record world class Big Game trophies.

Robin now travels extensively with his wife Pauline and when not hunting in Tanzania can be found in Botswana, Namibia, the USA or wing shooting in Spain or England.

DEREK HURT
Born in Kampala, Uganda. Derek was educated in England and soon after returned to Kenya to gain valuable experience in hunting dangerous game for crop and livestock protection.

After a stint at agricultural college in England, he obtained his PH license in the early 90's and has been hunting professionally in Tanzania ever since. He also has a sound knowledge of hunting in South Africa, Botswana and Namibia. Outside of the Tanzanian hunting season, Derek guides luxury tented photographic safaris in both Kenya and Tanzania.

ROGER HURT
Born in Nairobi, Kenya. Roger obtained a BSc. Degree in Wildlife Biology with honours from Newcastle University in England.

After working for a year on a farm in Suffolk, England, Roger returned to Kenya to escort photographic safaris. He obtained his full PH licence in South Africa in 2005 and already has a loyal following of repeated clients.

GERARD AMBROSE
Born in Tanzania in October 1947. Has been hunting Professionally since 1972. Lives in Arusha with his wife Belinda on a small farm at the foot of Mount Meru. He is an avid fisherman, with a great sense of humor and is an ideal companion in the bush.

MIKE BARTLETT
Born in Kenya in 1950. From a famous hunting family, and first licenced as a Professional Hunter in 1970. Has hunted Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania and more recently the Congo. Lives with his wife Debbie in Botswana.

OLIVER BARTON
Born in Ireland in 1948, and first licenced as a Professional Hunter in 1987. Has worked as an Honorary Game Warden, Game Manager and Farm Manager. He lives with his wife Jenny on the shores of Lake Naivasha in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley.

JOHNNY CHIPMAN
Born in Kenya in 1981 and first licenced as a Professional Hunter in 2001. When not hunting Tanzania, can be found either in Australia or working on Kenya ranches.

GORDON CHURCH
Born in Kenya in 1969 and first licenced as a Professional Hunter in 1985. Has hunted in Tanzania and the Central African Republic and has a profound knowledge of the bush. While not hunting, Gordie guides and outfits his own horse riding safaris.

SIMON EVANS
Born in Kenya in 1958 and first licenced as a Professional Hunter in 1983. Today Simon is considered one of Africa’s finest PH’s having hunted extensively in Ethiopia, Central African Republic and Cameroon. Spends his time between Kenya’s Northern Frontier District and his home in Cape Town.

RICK HOPCRAFT
Born in Kenya in 1947 and started hunting Professionally in 1971. A third generation Kenyan who has hunted with Robin Hurt in Kenya, Sudan and Zambia, as well as Tanzania. Continues a family tradition of ranching on the shores of Lake Naivasha in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley.

NATASHA ILLUM BERG
Born in 1971 and raised in Sweden by generations of hunters, explorers & wildlife conservationists. Grew up being involved in Wildlife management. Moved to Africa at the age of 18. Obtained her PH licence in 1993, and became the first female PH member of the APHA. Lives in Tanzania and is an internationally recognised author of 4 books.

ANDRE DE KOCK
Born in Lusaka, Zambia in 1950 and obtained his PH licence in 1977. Hunted Zambia for 11 years and in 1989 moved together with his family to Tanzania. Joined Robin Hurt in 1995 and has been hunting Tanzania ever since. Lives on a small farm on the outskirts of Arusha with his wife Lesley.

JOHN NGALESONI
Born in Tanzania, in 1966. Having obtained a diploma in Wildlife Management, worked Tanzania’s Wildlife Division. Joined Robin Hurt in 1998 to assist with anti poaching and community development before obtaining his PH Licence in 2005.

JOSH PERRETT
A 5th Generation Kenyan born in 1981. First licenced as a PH in 2001 and has been hunting Tanzania with Robin Hurt ever since. Has recently won the African Professional Hunter’s Association young hunter of the year award. Josh was born to hunt.

ALICK ROBERTS
Born in Nairobi in 1943 and first licenced as a Professional Hunter in 1964. Has hunted extensively in Kenya, Tanzania, and the Sudan. A keen photographer and fisherman, and lives with wife Dee on their ranch in Northern Kenya.

AUSTIN WEINAND
Born in Lusaka Zambia in 1946 and first licenced as a PH in 1974. Has hunted extensively throughout Zambia, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Tanzania. Has been hunting Tanzania with ourselves for the past 5 years. Lives in Lusaka, Zambia.
